Yves Rocher - Amande de Californie - Shower Cream [#ProductReview]

As you all might already know, I love most of the Yves Rocher Shower Gels - This is simply because they smell amazing and they are very cheap.

I usually buy mine for Rs89 (Mauritian Rupees) which is equivalent to $2.50 or GBP1.50.

This one in particular - Amande de Californie is one of my most favourites.

It has such a sweet smell and given that it is a shower cream it is so soft on the skin and leaves you with a pampering feel.

I would definitely repurchase this product and I recommend this to everyone. Al those I have recommended it to have loved it equally.

In terms of size, this holds 200ml of product and usually lasts me for two weeks if used twice a day.

Oh So Heavenly - Pearls of Pleasure Body Wash - [#Product Review]

This product was retailed at  Rs199 in the Pastel magazines in Mauritius. I was tempted to buy it as it said exfoliating body wash and I was looking for a body scrub. I thought that this might just do the thing!

The first time I used it... I found that the body wash had no exfoliating properties. It did have seldom granules which did not exfoliate my body at any point of time.

The body wash does have a flowery scent to it and does leave the pampering feeling but it did not suit my requirements of a bod scrub at that moment..

An overall review of this product would be as per my comments below:

Fragrance wise I have no complaints really. It smells amazing... Presentation wise, I feel that the packaging is too simple which might render a few people to avoid purchasing thinking that it would be a low quality product. Definitely a lot of people could miss out the beautiful scent that the Oh So Heavenly brand holds.

I did gift a friend an identical body wash and she liked its scent.

If you are a Oh So Heavenly user please advise on any product I could try... I am currently in love with its body products and bought quite a few.

Oh So Heavenly - Berry Bubbly Body Wash - [#Product Review]

This product was retailed at  Rs199 in the Pastel magazines in Mauritius. I was tempted to buy it as I love berries and decided to give this body wash a try.

The first time I used it... I found that it was too sweet.. but upon using it a few times I gradually started to like it and it smelled amazing.

It leaves you with the feeling of being luxuriously pampered.

Oh So Heavenly - Lavender Lather Uplifting Body Wash - [#Product Review]

This product was retailed at  Rs199 in the Pastel magazines in Mauritius. I was tempted to buy it as I find lavender to be a very soothing scent and decided to give this body wash a try.

The first time I used it... I found that the scent was too much like the cheap lavender air fresheners that are used in the public toilets... but upon using it a few times I gradually started to like it and it smelt amazing.

It leaves you with the feeling relaxed.

An overall review of this product would be as per my comments below:

Fragrance wise not amongst my most favourite ones.
Presentation wise, I feel that the packaging is too simple which might render a few people to avoid purchasing thinking that it would be ta low quality product.
Affordability it is quite reasonably priced.

Overall, I would  not really recommend this body wash unless I know that that person is totally and incredibly in love with any type of lavender scent.

Clarins – Daily Energiser Cream – [#Product Review]

Product Brand: Clarins Paris

Product Name: Daily Energiser Cream

I have used this product for quite a long time. I use it quite differently as I mix it with my foundation then apply it to my face. This helps the foundation to slide on more easily and also helping the foundation to have a less oily appearance during the day. It is a light weight cream that gives a soft feel to the skin. I absolutely love it and it is recently that I ran out of all my clarins face creams. I would definitely re-purchase this cream but it is quite expensive. . It is suitable for all skin types.

Avon Advance Techniques – Anti-Hair Fall – [#Product Review]

Today I will be writing about the Avon Advance Techniques Shampoo. As you guys might have already seen I use a lot of Avon Products. However, this is because I was introduced to Avon at a very young age and I would buy anything I felt like trying. My stock of products from Avon have still to be reviewed which will be coming up as soon as I finish them.

So,

Product Brand: Avon

Product Name: Advance Techniques Shampoo

Ref: Anti-Hair Fall

Net Weight: 200ml

Ingredients:

Product Claims:

This gentle conditioning shampoo contains Keratin, a key component of hair, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and silky. When used with advance techniques anti-hair fall conditioner, it reduces breakage (due to combing and brushing vs non-conditioning shampoo with regular use) that can occur with daily brushing and styling as well as helps to prevent future damage.

To use:

Wet hair and lather.
Rinse.
Repeat if necessary.

What I think?

I used quite a few of the Avon Advanced Techniques Shampoo. Since I had quite heavy hair fall the past few months I started using this specific one. However, I did not use its conditioner as it was not available when I went to purchase it. This really did help reduce my hair fall. It is not a miracle worker to stop the whole hair fall process but it reduced it to very less than usual. When it got over I used another shampoo that did not treat hair fall and I saw that my started falling all over again. I have thinking of switching back to this one very soon and use it along with its conditioner. Will let you know the results very soon. The packaging is user friendly and very durable. After my shampoo gets over I tend to wash the containers to re use it for storage.

Simple Foaming Cleanser - [#Product Review]

This foaming cleanser has been one of the best I've used.

The product claims to be a perfect blend of skin loving ingredients and Pro-vitamin B5 to remove impurities and remaining traces of makeup. Your skin will feel cleansed, rereshed and moisturised. Perfect even for sensitive skin.

For those who have followed me since the beginning would know that the "Simple" kit has really helped in improving my skin.

PROS:

- Water-soluble formula rinses cleanly

- Removes most types of makeup

    - Inexpensive

    CONS:

    - None

Some people might have several questions on their mind on a foaming cleanser:

Do foaming cleansers work as well as other cleanser types?

A foaming cleanser has the advantage of being able to clean the skin's surface more thouroughly than a non-foaming cleanser, so all impurities and dirt can be washed away effectively.

Can you use a foaming cleanser if you have sensitive skin?

Yes, the Simple Foaming Facial Cleanser can be used with all skin types, even sensitive. The cleanser uses Simple's purest possible skin-loving ingredients, so not to only is the foam very effective due to its hydrating properties, you can enjoy it whatever your skin type.

How much of the product should be used?

A little goes a long way. Start with one pump, and if you feel you need more or want to have a more intense cleanse then try two pumps.

When should you use the foaming cleanser?

You can use the cleanser in the morning and at night as part of your skincare routine.

Simple Kind to Skin Facial Scrub - [Product Review]

    Product Brand: Simple

    Product Ref: Kind to Skin

    Product: Smoothing Facial Scrub

    Net Weight: 75ml

Duration of Use: 3 months plus/ once daily

Where I purchased it? Bought it from Guardian, Malaysia

    Made in? Hungary

    To use:
Apply a small amount to damp face and neck. Massage in circular movements avoiding eye area. Rinse away with plenty of water. Use once a week on normal dry skin and twice a week on oily skin.

    Product Claim:
Our smoothing facial scrub is a perfect blend of multi vitamins and a skin-loving exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and keep your skin brighter and more even textured. Perfect for even sensitive skin.

    What I think?
Even if the product stated that it has to be used once a week or twice, I used it every night after wearing heavy makeup. This product is very gentle thus I found it to be possible. However, I would not have adopted the same tactic with another scrub.

After wearing heavy makeup my face tends to seem very unhealthy. So I use this scrub to remove the dead skin cells and help my skin to brighten up.

    Will I re-purchase?
Yes. I found that this has done wonders to my skin. I love this scrub.

    Pros:
    Contains rice granules
    No artificial perfume or colour
    Dermatologically tested and approved
A gentle product that does not irritate the skin
    Contains multi vitamins
    Cons:

    None

Avon Oil Control Pressed Powder - [Medium]

I have been using the Avon Oil Control Pressed Powder for around 5 years already. I am in the shade Medium but I know that they must have other shades like oriental and light; light being the lightest and oriental being the darkest.

I discovered this powder when I felt that my skin was getting to oily and wanted to control that. The term "Oil control" intrigued me and I ended up buying this powder. Now, I feel blessed to be using it as it is seriously one of my favourite.

It comes in a small compact box with a small mirror which makes it easy to carry around. It has a small puff inside which I don't usually use. I personally feel applying compact powder with a puff makes your face look unnatural, hence I usually use a big Kabuki Brush.

Funny Story, once when we went to my Grandma's, my mum had forgotten her powder at home and I gave her mine to use. She loved it so much that she told me to get her one. Luckily the day I bought that powder it was on promotion and she sent me to that shop again to buy 2 more. Hence, she was left with 3 powders in the same shade. Until now, she uses the same powder and it is still her all time favourite as well.

If you have used this powder and have your views to share, feel free to comment in the comment section below.

    1. Avon Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub

I bought this product as there was a promotion in the Avon Brochure and felt like giving it a try. However, I was not satisfied with it and I don't think that I would repurchase this product.

    2. Avon Far Away Shower Gel

I have been using this shower gel from time to time over the years as I simply love the scent. It has changed packaging over the years as well.

To read my views on this product, please click on the link below:

    3. Yves Rocher Fleur de Tiare Shower Gel

This is one of the cheapest shower gel I have ever used and I am in love with its scent. It is very different from the other shower gels I usually use. The best thing about it is that after the shower, even the bathroom is left with an overpowering scent.

    4. Benefit BAD gal Lash Mascara

This is known to be one of the best mascaras being sold around the world. But this one did not work well for me. I found that it smudged and flaked - it made me feel that I had racoon eyes after I wore it throughout the day. Not a best buy for me.

    5. EDP Nina L'eau
