Avon Attraction [#Product Review]

Attraction by Avon is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance in the Avon Line. Attraction was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Honorine Blanc. Top notes are pear, blackberry and pink pepper; middle notes are jasmine, black orchid and musk; base notes are amber, madagascar vanilla, praline and labdanum.

I discovered the Avon Attraction when it was first launched in Mauritius. Avon was distributing free samples for the EDP for Him and for Her.

The Avon Attraction for Her comes in a golden bottle and the Avon Attraction for Him comes in a grayish bottle.

Product Claims:

Designed to draw you closer together, the magnetic, woody fruity scent of Avon Attraction for Her brings hour after hour of undeniable attraction. Captivate their senses with tempting blackberry, magnetic musk accord and vanilla amber. A seductive scent that lasts from day to night.

General views of the product by the Public:

Most of the people that have used this product find it great. It must be only a handful that have actually hated the product. Well, not everyone has the same taste.

Many Men have claimed that their wives have a feel good factor when they wear the Avon Attraction For Him and many Ladies have claimed likewise. In that case, we should really deem that lovers do get more attracted when the perfume is sprayed. Hence, the perfume does make justice to its name.

Our Views:

On seeing people rave on the product we decided to actually give it a try. We bought the for Him and for Her perfumes and used it simultaneously. My perfume lasted longer than that of my fiancé though the for Him packaging seemed bigger. We both liked the scent for both genders. It is quite appealing to the nose.

We both felt that the Avon Attraction for Her is a strong perfume on the women’s line and does last for the whole day. Unlike that of the Avon Attraction For Him which seems to be a lighter perfume on the Men’s line and does not last for the whole day.

Avon Oil Control Pressed Powder - [Medium]

I have been using the Avon Oil Control Pressed Powder for around 5 years already. I am in the shade Medium but I know that they must have other shades like oriental and light; light being the lightest and oriental being the darkest.

 

I discovered this powder when I felt that my skin was getting to oily and wanted to control that. The term "Oil control" intrigued me and I ended up buying this powder. Now, I feel blessed to be using it as it is seriously one of my favourite.

 

It comes in a small compact box with a small mirror which makes it easy to carry around. It has a small puff inside which I don't usually use. I personally feel applying compact powder with a puff makes your face look unnatural, hence I usually use a big Kabuki Brush.

 

Funny Story, once when we went to my Grandma's, my mum had forgotten her powder at home and I gave her mine to use. She loved it so much that she told me to get her one. Luckily the day I bought that powder it was on promotion and she sent me to that shop again to buy 2 more. Hence, she was left with 3 powders in the same shade. Until now, she uses the same powder and it is still her all time favourite as well.

Sephora Express Dry Shampoo – [Product Review] – [ShopWithMe #14]

I bought my first ever dry shampoo from Sephora over a week ago when there was a crazy 20% Off Sales for the purchase of any product.  I love taking good care of my hair and I wash it every other day, however, at times it does happen that when I wake up my hair tend to be a little oily on the front and since I have bangs this would make me feel very uncomfortable to go out. To make sure I don’t have to wash my hair early morning where I don’t have much time to blow dry my hair, I thought that the dry shampoo would be handy then.

So,

Product Brand: Sephora

Product Name: Express Dry Shampoo

Net Weight: 75ml

Claims:

Dermatologically tested and formulated without parabens

Magic in a bottle, without using water, hair is left clean, soft and voluminous, instantly!

Refreshes hair in between shampoos. Use anywhere, anytime, on the go! (Travel friendly)

Packaging:

The product comes in a spray can of black and white and combined with the product name in a peachy colour. It is very travel friendly can be taken around.

Ingredients:

butane, alcohol denat, propane, oryza sativa (rice) starch, isobutane, caprylic triglyceride, stearalkonium hectorite, parfum, propylene carbonate, glycerin, paulinia cupana seed extractm aqua, butylene glycol, citronellol.

Instructions:

Shake before use. Hold bottle 10-12 inches from dry hair and scalp, spray evenly. Brush hair.

What I think?

I loved the outcome after using this dry shampoo. Normally my scalp tends to get very oily especially near my forehead. This is why I normally wash my hair every other day. The times when I get unexpected oiliness on the front I would normally wash the front with some shampoo and hot dry it. However, with this dry shampoo on my dresser I know that I could use it during the unexpected oiliness and I don’t have to go through the trouble of washing part or my whole hair.

The product absorbs most of the oil and adds some volume to the hair. It also gives it a healthy appearance however the effect does not last long (only up to around 15 hours). This is why this product is a miracle worker only for a rainy day (a day that you really need it). The product has a refreshing fragrance thus helps to deal with the odor from the hair.

Since the product contains chemicals I personally do not use it very often as I love my hair to me naturally healthy. Normally this product is used only on the scalp not along the length of the hair.

Verdict:

The product is great for emergencies but contains a lot of chemicals, so it should not be used often.

5. Why did I purchase this product?

Since I tend to get very oily on my T-zone I decided to look for a product that would help me get rid of some of the shininess I experience throughout the day. I started to be annoyed of using blotting papers every time. I read a lot of reviews of the NYX shine killer and decided to give it a try since I already like the Pore Filler from Nyx.

8. First Impression on using it?

So, I use this product after my moisturizer and before my foundation. My first views would be that it really does work well on my T-zone. I could go up to 8 hours without seeing my T-zone getting shiny. But definitely that would be on a common day. If it is sweaty hot then I definitely can predict that the oiliness would show. But overall I am quite satisfied with the results as I did not expect it to be a miracle worker.

What I have to say?

I bought this product when I felt my skin lacked moisture. This product caught my attention due to the 40% off that was on it. I decided to give it a try. At first, I thought that it was a little harsh on my skin. But after around 3 times of use I loved the feeling. It sinks into my skin easily and makes it feel fresh. After having used this product for a month every morning after using my toner I found that I did not have to deal with dry skin anymore. Thus it really does satisfy the claims and really helps with locking in the moisture. It is very easy to use. Normally 1 to 2 pumps is enough to cover the whole face.

Will I re-purchase?

Yes I surely will

Pros:

She said that she uses this light moisturizer and this has proven great for her skin. So I decided to try it since it is made up of all natural products. I was very satisfied with the results and I bought the whole set after a while. This moisturizer is full of multi-vitamins and is suitable for sensitive skin as well. It contains the Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5. It contains skin loving ingredients such as Glycerine and Borage seed oil. It has no artificial perfume or colour and no harsh chemicals had been added so it will not upset your skin. It has been dermatologically tested and approved. I simply love this product. It lasted me a long time even if I applied it morning and night after cleansing my face.

Will I re-purchase?

Ofcourse. I intend to stick to this moisturizer itself.
