Restaurant Reve d'R - Petit Raffray Mauritius - [#Review]

I had been on my first official date at Restaurant Reve d'R.

I instantly felt in love with the place.

Recently we went there to Celebrate our 5 Year of Togetherness and we managed to capture some pictures of the food and surroundings:

Upon reaching the restaurant we opted for a pool side table like below:

We were then shown the catch of the day to keep our options open

On that day, the catch of the day was a scary looking lobster but I was fascinated by the looks of it.

We were later served with mineral water and our choice of drinks, which in our case was the Martini Blanco

While waiting for our food we had some bread and butter.

Given that our choice of food needed more time to be cooked. We were served with an "Amuse-Bouche" which was very delicious.

Finally the wait was over and we were served with our favourite starter :
Gratin Fruit de Mer.

The gratin is served in a shell which is served on the plate. Most of the time the shell is very hot, so I would presume that the gratin is cooked in the shell. It has always fascinated me and I really wish to cook something in a shell some day.

We had ordered Seafood Lasagna for the main course and it was the first time that we were trying that menu.

The presentation of the food was funny but the food was succulent.

No complaints this is the best lasagna I have ever tasted.

We ended our meal with our favourite dessert: Moelleux au chocolat.

This is the best Moelleux I have ever eaten.
