Avon Sharpener -[#Product Review]

For ages I had been looking for a proper sharpener that would sharpen my lip/eye pencils to density that it required and without breaking it.

At first, I used to use the normal sharpeners that students use at school but I realised that this made my lip/eye pencil break much more than it actually should!!

I had stopped my search until my aunt had gifted me the Avon Sharpener. I did not realise how good it was until I used it constantly.

I went ahead and bought a few of them for my eye pencils and lip pencils separately.

I would definitely recommend this sharpener to anyone who needs one.

Clarins – Daily Energiser Cream – [#Product Review]

Product Brand: Clarins Paris

Product Name: Daily Energiser Cream

I have used this product for quite a long time. I use it quite differently as I mix it with my foundation then apply it to my face. This helps the foundation to slide on more easily and also helping the foundation to have a less oily appearance during the day. It is a light weight cream that gives a soft feel to the skin. I absolutely love it and it is recently that I ran out of all my clarins face creams. I would definitely re-purchase this cream but it is quite expensive. . It is suitable for all skin types.

Great Movies to watch during Christmas Season! #Edition2016

As you all might know by now, I am a Christmas Freak.

I love everything about Christmas and the sharing of gifts.

Hence, once we reach the end of November I start watching the Christmas movies that are aired on the Hallmark Channel.

I normally watch all the movies one by one.

Last Christmas I shared my top 10 favourites but this time I will share all the movies I've watched.

My ratings of the movies would be on a scale of 1 to 3 Christmas stars.

I hope that this will help boost the Christmas Spirit of 2016.

A holiday wedding brings no joy to the bride's cousin, who was literally left by the groom right at the altar. But she might find her true love there when she gains a fake fiancé in the process.

4. A Dream of Christmas (3/3)

When three hilarious, strong-willed women join forces to seek the ultimate revenge on their cheating ex at his upcoming holiday retreat, lovestruck event planner Livvy meets Carter, the charming colleague organizing it all, leaving Livvy to question if she can leave off their revenge scheme long enough to finally forgive her ex and let a real holiday romance blossom.

6. A Cinderella Christmas (2/3)

Farmasi - Sunscreen SPF 50 - [#Product Review]

I have always hated using the sunscreen which leaves the white stain after application. The Farmasi sunscreen SPF 50 amongst others is one that I prefer.

It provides Ultra Protection and is non greasy. It slides onto the skin like any other face cream, the only difference is that it has SPF 50 inside. It is very absorbent and can be worn alone or under your foundation.

I have used this cream for the past 6months on a daily basis to work and have recommended it to a few people and 3 have actually decided to give it a try.

The feedback was good!

Apparently this can also be used on the body but I used mine only on my face.

Overall I feel that it is a great face cream and would not mind falling on to the same one again in the near future.

Yves Rocher - Ode de L'amour EDT - [#Product Review]

The Ode de l’Amour EDT is an oriental – vanilla fragrance for women. It was launched in 2001 but unfortunately has been discontinued. I loved this fragrance! I has tried it while I was in France in 2001 and it had recently been launched.

Yves Rocher qualifies the product as a “Voluptuous and savory head notes, like a love potion that blossoms into a mirabelle plum with bewitching heart notes of Ylang-Ylang and a spicy, sensual base. The fragrance of a woman in love, the wake of true happiness.”

The bottle of perfume I have is of 50ml.

My aunt had gifted it to me before it got discontinued.

The perfume makes me think of black current with a touch of sandalwood. It is not irritating to the nose, in fact it has the perfect scent which qualifies its name.

If you have tried this perfume or seen that it is available somewhere, please let me know in the comment section below.

Woolworths - Exfoliating Scrub Cashmere - [#Product Review]

I was introduced to woolworths body products by one of my colleagues.

She told me that her son used a particular body cream and loved it a lot. So I had decided to try it. The scent was simply amazing so going forward I continued to try out other products from the woolworths shop.

I recently bought a body scrub called the woolworths cashmere scrub.

It is a cream based texture with granules inside. It simply smells amazing and leaves the skin smooth and scented. This scrub contains shea butter and vanilla essence.

As a lady I feel pampered while using this scrub. Recently I have been keeping it only for particular occasions and not been using it on a daily basis.

I paid this scrub at rs250 in the woolworths shop in Mauritius.
If you have tried this scrub please let me know what you think.

I would love to have your views.

Mentos Chewing Gum - [#Product Review]

I have recently started to fall back on the Mentos Pure Fresh Gums while I take a stroll at the supermarket.

Previously I would get the Hollywood ones but they don't fancy me anymore.

Amongst the Mentos Pure Fresh Gums I have tried only the 3 first ones in the picture below.

1.  Mentos Pure Fresh - Fresh Mint with Green Tea.

The blue coloured mentos is much more refreshing than the others I've tried. I also feel that the taste remains longer than the others. The gums have a small jelly like texture inside according to the colour of their boxes.

2. Mentos Pure Fresh - Winter Green with Green Tea.

The green coloured mentos is less refreshing than the blue one but still refreshes the mouth. The taste remains less than the blue coloured packaging.

3. Mentos Pure Fresh - Lime Mint with Green Tea.

I recently saw the light green packaging mentos and thought of giving it a try. Frankly, i hate it!! The taste is not my type. It is quite bitter due to the lime.

St Ives - Blemish Control - Green Tea Scrub [#Product Review]

The St Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub is the next of the St Ives product that I've seen and hear people rave about.

I am a green tea lover and I like to try out products which are green tea based.

I decided to try out this product and write a review about it. So, here I am:

Product Brand: St Ives

Ingredients: Water, Walnut, Corn, Green Tea, Salicylic Acid (1.0%) amongst others.

Net Weight: 133ml

Product Claims: Gently clears breakouts and calms redness

Purpose: Acne Treatment

Benefits:
  • ·         100% Natural Exfoliants
  •       Paraben Free
  • ·         Oil Free
  • ·         2% Salicylic Acid
  • ·         Dermatologist tested
  • ·         Hypoallergenic

How to use?

Use a pea size amount and gently rub in on your wet face.

Rinse well. Use only 2 to 3 times a week.

I loved this product instantly. The scrub was not as rough as the apricot scrub but it did the same job. I felt my face to be very clean and less oily upon the first use of this product. It cleans pores thoroughly.

However, the Green Tea Scrub seems to be harsher on the skin. On constant use, I realised that it was quite harsh and I would sometimes get some dry patches of skin on my face.

If you have personally tried this product, do comment in the comment section below..

I would love to know more of your reactions.

Quelques Notes D'amour - Eau de Parfum 30ml - Yves Rocher [#Product Review]

The Eau de Parfum, Quelques Notes D’amour by Yves Rocher came out in September 2014.

It is known that this perfume has been launched to portray Euphoria* and the feeling of falling in love.

The scent of this perfume opens with accords of bergamot and red pepper. The heart includes Damascus Rose, Guaiac Wood and Patchouli.

Many have voted this perfume to be long lasting and I share the same view.

I found that the perfume stayed on for the whole day.

The first time I wore this perfume I had many people tell me that my new perfume smells great. When I told them that this perfume is at an very affordable price they asked me to buy one for them.

I ended up buying 7 of these perfumes for my friends and they all loved it.

If you have tried this perfume, please let me know what you think in the comment bar below.
