wear. This one showed the “10hr wear” and it also said that it was buildable.
Hence, I decided to give it a fair try.

10. What can I say about the packaging?

The product is in a glass container.
It has a small pump helping easier application.
The cap is much secured.

11. First Impression on using it?

I loved the colour and the way it blends into my skin.
It is not too heavy and can be buildable.

12. What can I predict?

Since I like the texture of the product  and the colour after trying it I can predict that I will be using this foundation quite often for a few days testing its long wear and buildable capacity before deciding whether to re-purchase it someday.

13. First View Pros

-The texture of the product is not too light nor too heavy. Just like I like it.
- The cap in the packaging is secured.
- The pump is good and gives a reasonable amount of product in one pump.

14. First View Cons

- The packaging is of glass and I have the fear it might break someday
- Only 25ml capacity. My other foundations have had from 30ml to 50ml capacity which is more than this one.

NYX Pore Filler - Product Review

NYX Pore Filler Primer - Product Review

This product claims to:

Reduce the look of your pores promptly using the Pore Filler.  The talc-free and oil-free base coat is perfect to apply prior to putting on your favourite foundation. The Pore Filler includes Vitamin E to enhance and smoothen your skin.

Packaging:

The nyx pore filler primer comes in a simple, basic, light weight, easy to use and carry white coloured tube packaging with a screw off capt. it has a narrrow-nozzle like tip on the top which dispenses the product.

My Experience with nyx pore filler primer:

I passed through this product in sephora and tried it on myself. I do not have very huge pores but they are existent. On applying it onto m face, i instantly felt a strange feeling of softness. when i looked into the mirror, it did fill my pores considerably and they were less noticeable.

The texture of this peach-beige coloured pore filler is a lightweight cream like, which seems crumbly when you squeeze out some amount. However, it is surprising that even though that, it does not have any particles that leave that crumbly feeling. Actually, despite being creamy and crumbly it dries to powdery finish, which is an added plus point if you have oily skin. It has a slight chemical type of smell which fades away once you have applied it.

This product actually does fill up the pores and gives an almost air brushed, poreless, velvety finish to the skin and this makes my foundation glide easily and being a silicone based product it smoothes out the skin well too. I find this product suitable only to use under my foundation.

My skin combination is oily and dry, but i have not seen this product breaking me out - however, I do not use it on a daily basis. I use it on the days where i require heavy make up application. even though it mattifies the face and dries as a powdery finish it does lack in controlling the oil.

Thus in this case blotting papers could help to control the oil produced. After 5 to 6 hours, i did feel that my face looked a little greasy but my makeup was more or less still in place. So, i believe that this product does help my makeup set and last. Overall, It's a pretty decent product and has proved true on its claim of minimizing the look of pores.

Pros:

* efficient
* works & Fill pores
* Lightweight formula, does not feel heavy on the skin
* Smoothes out the skin well (so application of makeup is easier)
* good for oily skin
* Improves staying power of makeup
* Oil free and talc free formula
* Has a faint fragrance, nothing very strong.
* Convenient to use and carry tube type packaging.
* Nyx products are not tested on animals.

cons:

* since it's a silicone - based primer, it may not be suitable for all skin types.
* Does not control oil after 5 to 6 hours of wearing.
* pricey for a 20ml tube.

   - Ultra Plush in Hoola Lip Gloss
     @ 6.5ml or 0.22 US fl. Oz.

5. Product Description and what it claims to do?
This set claims to bring on the most believing bronze and a touch of brightening pink with their lips and cheeks best sellers.

6. Why did I purchase this product?
I have been eyeing this box for quite a while now. I have personally wanted the Hoola Bronzer for quite some time and bought it off ebay as there was no benefit product on sale in my birth country. However, I found out that the product I bought was a copy and it did not work that well. Once in Malaysia, I have been looking out for different products and wanted to try a sample first of benefit products before buying the real deal (i.e the actual size of the product). I saw this box set but I did not really need the lip gloss so I was considering whether to buy it or not. At the end I decided to go for it.

The reason was: It contained 4 samples of different products which contains a generous amount to use. So I just decided to go for it.

7. How much did I pay for it?
I paid RM80.00 for the product,
    which makes $24.49 (USD)

8. Where did I buy it?
I bought it at Sephora in KLCC Malaysia

9. This product is made in?
The different products are made in different countries
-      Hoola Bronzer (Made in USA)
-      Dandelion Brightening face powder (Made in USA)
-      Ultra Plush in Dandelion (Made in France)
-      Ultra Plush in Hoola (Made in France)

10. What can I say about the packaging?
The box – as a whole is very attractive and products are secured inside. Also they are divided in different compartments.
The product name has a glossy texture in bright pink and the design of the packaging is from both the concept of Hoola and Dandelion.

The Powders – are in different plastic containers and can be opened and closed quite easily. They are small so they are easy to carry to complete your look.

The glosses – are in mini gloss tubes just like the full size one. The only difference is the size of the tube and the quantity in them.

11. First Impression on using it?
The colours are pigmented and they smell nice. However, I did not the trouble of looking for a suitable brush for the powders.

12. What can I predict?
I can predict that I will find this product interesting to use as I love trying new things. Since I am actually getting the chance to use all these I will make the most of it before reviewing them.

13. First View Pros
 - Wide variety of try outs before buying actual
   full size products
 - Since they are small, easy to carry
 - Smells nice

14. First View Cons
 - No brush comes with the powders

Guardian Drugstore - Stamps v/s Towel

Guardian Towel Promotion Malaysia

It is very rare that drugstores have breathtaking promotions but lately Guardian has been having great ones. This has made me more prone to take a round in guardian to spot any product I would like to give a try.

They have recently implemented a new strategy. With every RM20 spent you can get a stamp and thus collect them on a specified sheet. At the completion of this collection, that is, if you collect 20 stamps you can redeem a towel for RM29.90 but if you collect 40 stamps you redeem it at only RM1.90.

I just redeemed mine and I love it. It is a very big towel of purple colour. I enjoyed going through all that and I don’t regret spending my money as I have taken the risk to explore new products and found my new favourites.

I will be sharing the products I bought soon. I bought so much that it will be taking me a hell lot of time to prepare the posts! Stay tuned for more.

Introduction to Malswisse - [Malswisse #1]

Changing what was a Passion into a Profession

I have always loved Make-Up but never considered making it into a profession. However, as days passed by I found that many of my close ones would ask me questions about my skin care routine. Also, would ask me to recommend certain products I found useful on myself or that I felt would be appropriate to their skin type. I would do this by taking into consideration what I read on the products or doing my own research by surfing the net. I also developed a liking to experience new makeup styles on myself or on my close ones, hence makeup became my passion.

I am currently based in Malaysia studying a Bachelor Degree Course. However, since I am ending soon and have to wait for a while before going back to my home country, my boyfriend suggested that I start a Professional Beauty Course while I was still here. This really motivated my in turning my passion into a part time profession.

Through research I found a few places where I could study makeup in Malaysia but none were meeting my requirements as I had a limited time frame. I needed a beauty school that could help me finish my course within 3 months, have a flexible time table so that I could cope with my revision for my final exams, an examination right after the end of the Beauty Course that would award me with a certificate and that also has an affordable course fee. The only Beauty School I found meeting these requirements was Malswisse, School of Beauty and Wellness.

http://malswisse.com/

I went through their page and got into contact with a very nice lady that agreed to meet me the following week. I met her and discussed everything I was supposed to and they agreed to make sure I finish everything before i fly back to my home country. I was more than happy and I signed up for the course.

Malswisse has upcoming promotions that make it easier for anyone to sign up. I signed up for the Bridal Course which was a basic overall of all the beauty stuff a MakeUp artist needs to know. From there, it is up to the student if he/she wants to pursue any hairstylist or nail art courses.

I will be sharing what I learnt throughout my time at Malswisse with pictures as well. Hopefully, this will be a very fruitful journey and would help me in the future in developing my own beauty business. Stay tuned for more!
